Online Backup

Online Backup

Backing up your data is a great habit to get into. But if you then store that backup in the drawer of your desk, theft or fire can still leave you in trouble.

We recommend taking a copy of your backup and storing it in remote / different location. This is known as an Online backup. The simplest and one of the safest ways to do this is to put a copy of it in your own private space online.

You can either sign up for a DWG Backup online account or use some free space you already have. Some people already have a server on the internet that they can backup to.
Others use an ISP (the people they connect to the internet with) that provide them with some free disk space. If this is you, all you need to do is get in touch with them (or read their support pages) and hey presto you have a fantastic source of free online disk space.
Putting a copy of your backup online offers you an extra layer of security for when disaster strikes.
